People First It’s Who We Are

At The Arc of the Lakeshore, our focus has always been empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Founded by a group of dedicated family members and loved ones, the organization began as a way to create a supportive community.

The Arc of the Lakeshore was and continues to be a place where people can come together, share their experiences, find support, and advocate for meaningful change. We are dedicated to providing compassionate care and essential resources to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. Our goal is to help them become confident self-advocates while offering personalized guidance in planning and management to foster greater independence and improve their quality of life.
